Rabendtse Site

Rabendtse Site

Rabdentse was the second capital of the former kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. The capital city was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and only the ruins of the palace are seen here now.

Kangchenjunga

Kangchenjunga

Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest and K2. It is 8.586 meters high. After two weeks in Darjeeling and Pelling, we finally had a sunny day when we were able to see it. There are treks that start from Pelling where you can see the mountain, but we were there when the visibility was worst and the tracks were covered in mud and leeches, so we decided to leave the treks for another time.
